A big upset the model is asking for at the 2023 PGA Championship: Rory McIlroy, a 23-time PGA Tour winner and a top favorite, stumbles this week and doesn’t even make the top 10. McIlroy is certainly one of golfers most talented players in the world, but the 34-year-old has struggled a lot in recent weeks. He missed the cut in two of his last four PGA Tour starts and finished 47th at the Wells Fargo Championship in his last start.

McIlroy’s poor form can be directly attributed to his inconsistency on the green. The four-time Major champion enters the 2023 PGA Championship ranked 112th in one-putting percentage (39.81%), 162nd in putting average (1.783) and 172nd in strokes gained (-0.356). He also ranks 172nd on greens in regulation percentage (62.96%), which doesn’t bode well for his chances of finishing top of the standings this week. Another surprise: Xander Schauffele, an unlikely 22-1, makes a strong title run. It’s a go-to for anyone looking for a big payday.
