The 2023 PGA Championship caught up with its schedule on Friday morning when Round 1 concluded and Round 2 began simultaneously. When the first 18 holes were officially on the books, Bryson DeChambeau emerged alone at the top of the standings at 4-under, holding a one-shot lead over a group of talented competitors.
Dustin Johnson, the two-time Grand Slam champion who looked nearly flawless around the Donald Ross design on Thursday, was among the group sitting within a stroke of DeChambeau’s lead. DJ began his second round at 8:22 am ET alongside Xander Schauffele and Tyrrell Hatton. This group followed the trio of Max Homa, Tony Finau and Adam Scott who are still in this championship and were aiming to make an effort entering Moving Day when they started at 8:11am.
In the afternoon, big names will seek to leave their mark on this championship. World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler starts the day with three under seats alongside Brooks Koepka and Gary Woodland at 1:25 p.m. and Cameron Smith.
