A man in Rendsburg sits in his living room and hears voices coming from his kitchen. There, he surprises a burglar who is clearly an expert – and enjoys an afternoon of cheesecake.

Ob he would rather have committed the crime with sufficient energy? Were you just hungry? Or when a cheesecake lover just couldn't resist after going through quite the arduous journey?

Apparently, the burglar in Rendsburg in Schleswig Holstein was not interested in money or jewelry – but rather in cheesecake. The man ended up in the apartment of the apartment building on Saturday evening, the police announced on Monday. A little after midnight, the resident was sitting in her living room a few meters away and was startled by a noise in her kitchen.

The tenant then looked and saw a strange man enjoying his afternoon cheesecake. When she spoke to him, the intruder immediately escaped through a sliding window on the first floor and disappeared over the roof. The police who were called to the spot also failed to catch the cake thief. According to them, nothing was stolen apart from the cheesecake.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are looking for a man about 1.80 meters tall with dark hair and a full beard who was wearing a green jacket and black pants.
