Nacktbaden Niddas, photographing and filming children, watching children play: the list read out by the public prosecutor in the indictment at the Frankfurt District Court on Tuesday morning is long. The defendant allegedly violated the conditions a dozen times last summer. It is alleged that he illegally approached children about a dozen times and recorded a number of child and youth pornographic images on his mobile phone.

The defendant from Frankfurt has been under supervision since 2020 after being jailed for six counts of sexual abuse of minors and possession of child pornography. Among other things, he was no longer allowed to approach schools and kindergartens or seek contact with children in any other way.

Because he violated it, his requirements were tightened in 2021. Since then, he has had to avoid swimming spots and stay away from children's parties. Last July, despite the instructions, he was, among other things, in playgrounds, sought contact with children and went to festivals with them, as well as being in a children's amusement park. The police were following him.

“He who thinks evil, may suspect evil”

“Anyone who thinks evil may suspect evil,” the defendant says in a statement about the allegations. He seems to consider himself the victim of a conspiracy. He keeps talking about trying to paint a certain image of him and criminalize him.

For example, the alleged supervisor of the children's group “grinned stupidly” at him when the children sat next to him and talked to him. Because he didn't want to “dehumanize” himself, he didn't get up and look for another place away from the children.

The defendant suspects conspiracy

The defendant is of the opinion that the situation in the subway was staged and that the alleged supervisor was the policeman watching him. On the witness stand, the police officer stated that he had been observed, but that he was not the caretaker of the group of children. During the questioning of the witness, the defendant repeatedly grins maliciously.

In his statement, the man repeatedly describes that “things seemed very Spanish” to him. For example, two girls were “waiting” for him on the street. Convinced that he was being followed, he followed him – “to see what happened”. When she noticed a man who seemed to be following her, she realized “something is up again.”

In his statement, the defendant says only a few words about the more than 80 child and 90 youth porn videos found on him. On the day they searched the apartment, the police played the videos on his cell phone. “It's completely crazy to put youth pornography on it,” he says. “That would be against me.” The process continues.
