Just before moving to the jungle camp, Lucy Diakovska's pit bull died. Now, shortly after returning from Australia, the singer has to say goodbye to her beloved four-legged friend again.

When Lucy Diakovska was crowned the winner at the jungle camp a few days ago, she was still extremely happy. As soon as he returned to civilization, the “No Angels” singer had to deal with the sad news. His dog Rochilin died. Just before moving to camp, her pit bull, Alec, died.

After her triumphant exit from the jungle, the Jungle Queen learned from her aunt – who was taking care of the dogs while Lucy was in Australia – that her dog was also unwell. Before he could return to Bulgaria, Rochil had to be put down. Lucy didn't even make it to the funeral in time, so she couldn't say goodbye to both dogs herself. “They were both old and their organs simply failed. And I wasn't there,” Lucy explains to RTL, visibly upset. Both animals were already old and had lived in difficult conditions before they came to Lucy. As a consolation to Lucy: She was able to give her dogs at least a few nice gifts in recent years: “Until now, I have always accepted animals with the idea that they would have a nice life. And especially here, they also have that life.”

Lucy Diakovska: “Almost nobody takes older dogs”

But Lucy now had to make her aunt promise not to take in any more dogs in the near future besides her remaining group of dogs. The grief for beloved furry friends is probably too much. “I often just took older dogs, because almost no one takes older dogs. And that's what happens after a really busy and intense time with these animals, because of course you have a different care during those years,” Lucy describes the time spent with her four-legged companions.
