In the summer of 2019, Jamal Musiala moved from Chelsea to FC Bayern as a promising young player. Almost three years later, the attacking all-rounder has become a high-performing player for the record champions. The Munich team would like to retain him long-term. According to new reports, Musiala is aiming for a return to the Premier League.

Bayern would like to keep Musiala for the long term. As reported by the British Daily Star, Musiala has other plans.

According to the newspaper, the offensive player rejects a renewal at FC Bayern and aims to return to the Premier League in the summer.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea compete for Musiala

According to information from the Daily Star, there are three specific interested parties in Musiala: Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. All three would be willing to sign the national player in the next transfer market.

However, the Bayern youngster would prefer to move to the Sky Blues. Therefore, the current Champions League champion has already been informed that Musiala does not want to renew his contract in Munich.

Talks with Bavaria are still pending

The reports come out England should be treated with caution. Musiala is contractually linked to the German record champion until 2026. Unlike players like Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies or Leroy Sane (all of whom are under contract until 2025), there is no rush for an extension and/or sale in the summer.

There have also been initial informational conversations between the club and the player in the recent past. Bayern have made it very clear that they see Musiala as the “new face of the club.”
