Inheritance dispute at Veltins: Brewery son Carl-Clemens fights through his lawyers for an inheritance worth millions. The 61-year-old spoke to BUNTE about the family disputes.

Last week, Carl-Clemens Veltins, who lives near Berlin, filed a lawsuit with the Arnsberg regional court through his lawyers. “In reality, he would have the right to a third of the company's shares,” says Veltins (61) in the interview with BUNTE.

But after signing before a notary on his 18th birthday, the only male member of the brewing dynasty was left empty-handed. “I waived all claims. This was to prevent the brewery from having to be sold if the heirs claimed their mandatory share after the mother's death,” Veltins recalls. And so he did as he was told: “What son believes that his mother will betray him?”

Carl-Clemens Veltins: “This sum is only a fraction of the value”

The millionaire inheritance was divided between his two sisters Susanne and Frauke. Over the years she was paid between four and five million marks. “Our family lawyers assessed my actions this way,” says the brewer's son. “I feel betrayed. This sum is only a fraction of the value.” Attempts to resolve the family dispute amicably fail. If he is right, sisters Susanne and Frauke could owe his brother hundreds of millions.
