Wagner is the executive director of the Frankfurt Women's Emergency Call Center. It is a counseling center for women and girls who are at risk of or affected by violence. They often contact women after they have been raped.

Most rape cases in this country remain unsolved and most victims are not even recorded in the statistics. According to the Federal Criminal Police Office, only one rape in ten is reported. In 2022, there were 10,296. Why is the rate so low? And why is it so difficult to prosecute reported cases and convict the perpetrators?
