Trade Republic is laying off dozens of customer service employees. This is reported by the newspaper “Wirtschaftswoche” citing several company experts. According to this, internal documents would indicate a wave of layoffs in the company.

Trade Republic receives strong criticism: more and more complaints from users

“Wirtschaftswoche” adds that the broker would even completely close its customer service and close the associated subsidiary.

Trade Republic strongly defended itself against the description in a statement. “We are expanding customer service as a whole,” a company spokeswoman wrote. “From now on we will no longer manage it internally, but through several larger and more specialized customer service centers throughout Europe. As a result, the subsidiary was closed and “the expert positions were integrated directly into the bank.” The spokesperson promises: “This means that most queries will be answered more quickly and more complex queries will be answered more specifically.”

The company has come under heavy criticism in recent weeks. For example, some users complain of having waited days for their dividends to be paid.
