Dale Davis will never forget the moment he was notified of Amy Winehouse’s death. “I was rehearsing when they told me. I sank down in my chair and said, ‘I was going to see her tonight.’ It was a shock because I had spoken to her the day before and gone out with her two nights before.”

Dale Davis, bassist, musical director of Winehouse’s band and a personal friend of the singer, is back in Portugal, with the same collective that accompanied the artist, to play the songs immortalized by her, but now with a new vocalist, Bronte Shande.
