LSU entered Saturday afternoon as a potential popular surprise pick, as the team had to go to the always-tough Starkville to take on Mississippi State in its SEC opener. It didn’t take them long to squash any thoughts of an upset, however, as the team took a 24-7 lead into halftime and looked like the potential playoff contender they were excited about heading into the season.
Such an emphatic advantage means it’s easy to justify giving some running back to the youngsters, so after his 11-carry, 62-yard performance against Grambling State last season, LSU put the 4-star true freshman running back on the field Kaleb Jackson. He made a relatively normal handoff, tried to go up the middle, bounced it to the outside and was 1-on-1 with a defensive back, who learned the hard way that this young man can set up the wood.

That man went back six meters because his shoulder fell on his chest! It was an impressive pass of the ball by Jackson, to the point that he caught the attention of a former LSU running back who was pretty good at doing these things to opposing players.
That man has a family in the stands.

In fact, this seems to hurt.
