Sporting director Max Eberl has stressed several times recently that Bayern will make personnel changes in the summer. As Sport BILD reports, the (defensive) midfield is still considered one of the biggest building blocks of the current squad.

According to the newspaper, Bayern is willing to sell one of its current midfielders in the summer in order to transfer six new ones.

The top candidates are, therefore, Martín Zubimendi of Real Sociedad San Sebastián and Amadou Onana of Everton, but they would have to do FCB Pay between 60 and 70 million euros each for these players.

Goretzka or Kimmich: who has to go?

With Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich there are two possible candidates for the change who could contribute a lot of money to the coffers.

With Kimmich, transfer rumors could soon become much more concrete. His contract with FCB only lasts until 2025, while Goretzka will remain linked to the club until 2026. If Kimmich does not renew his contract, the upcoming summer transfer window would be the last chance to get an attractive transfer fee with him.

Its market value is currently estimated at 60 million euros. Kimmich himself does not seem totally averse to a change either.

Laimer and Pavlovic should stay

Goretzka, on the other hand, would like to stay in Munich beyond the summer, as Kicker recently reported. FC Bayern are examining the market for him, but last summer he remained at the club despite being considered a candidate for sale. In any case, his market value is “only” 30 million euros. From a purely financial point of view, selling his midfield partner Kimmich would be the best option.

Konrad Laimer and Aleksander Pavlovic, on the other hand, are not considered candidates for sale, according to Sport BILD. Although the youngster will become part of the “new FC Bayern”, Laimer can be used variably and can also play as a right-back.
