Public works tenders promoted last year had a drop of 3% compared to 2021, with the amount varying from 3,783 million to 3,657.6 million euros, according to the Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries.

At stake are 3,825 contract tenders, says the entity in a note sent this Wednesday to the media.

With regard to the conclusion of public works contracts – registered on the Base Portal -, the association points to a total of 2,479 million euros last year, a drop of 34% in homologous terms, compared to 3,766 million euros 2021, which corresponds to a drop of 1,286 million euros in the volume of public procurement.

“Contracts for works concluded within the scope of public tenders in 2022 stood at 1,915 million euros, less 32%(2) year-on-year”, is revealed in the same statement.

According to the same association, contracts concluded in the form of Direct Agreements and Prior Consultations totaled 437 million euros in 2022, less 29%(2) year-on-year.
