Cheyenne Jackson, Angel Parker, Navia Robinson, Shiv Pai join ‘Ctrl Alt Del’ – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: cheyenne jackson (american horror story), angel parker (the recruit), shivapai (uncut gems) and navia robinson (gotham knights) have closed deals to join Ctrl Alt Delthe indie drama will also star Jason Priestley, Laurel Marsden, Elsie Fisher, and Mena Suvari, as previously announced.

Kit Williamson’s first feature film (eastsiders) follows disaffected teenager Ava (Marsden) and her father, estranged filmmaker Greyson (Priestley), as they try to reconnect after a tragic incident sparked by their latest film. Pic explores timely questions about media responsibility in our society and how what we consume profoundly affects us and the people around us.

Robinson will play Makayla, the daughter of Greyson’s agent, who befriends Ava through influence, with Parker as Jordyn, Makayla’s agent mother, who is delighted when the publicity of a tragic incident involving her client’s controversial film makes it a blockbuster. Pai’s character, Cameron, is Ava’s quirky gay best friend who longs to be a fashion designer, but refuses to come out for fear that his old-world dad will despise and reject him. Jackson plays up-and-coming actor Clive Parker, who co-stars in Greyson’s film and inadvertently becomes his nemesis.

Amir Ohebsion and Arash Homampour penned the script, with the former also producing alongside Sam Okun, who produces under his Sam Okun Productions banner. Homampour will executive produce, with Nick Lyon, Lachlan Towle, Christian Jean and Constantinos Yiallourides serving as co-producers.

Okun said in a statement to Deadline, “We are delighted to add these exceptional actors to our cast; their talents will no doubt elevate this important and compelling story.”

Ohebsion added, “The collective passion and commitment of this diverse group will bring an additional layer of authenticity and depth to our film.”

Known for turn on series like call me Kat, american horror story, Happiness and 30 rockJackson counts among his best-known film credits such titles as werewolves inside, Love is Strange, Behind the candlestick, lola against and United 93.

Parker stars in the hit Netflix series the recruitwhich has been renewed for a second season, and has also been seen recurring of late on ABC The noob. The actress, who has also appeared in Marvel’s fugitiveswill soon be seen in the independent drama prisoner’s daughter Directed by Catherine Hardwicke.

Robinson plays Carrie Kelley, aka Robin, on The CW’s gotham knights and was previously seen starring in the Disney Channel show the house of the raven.

Pai has previously appeared on A24’s uncut gems starring Adam Sandler, and in series like freeridge, Iron fist and on my block.
