Dolly Parton says ‘World On Fire’ is about all the politicians

He also revealed off-camera to Soboroff that he turned down an invitation to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Joe Biden, after he twice turned it down from Donald Trump. She said that she did not want to be associated with either of them.

Parton is also doing something that she refused and later accepted: go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “I had always thought that I could do one, but I hadn’t thought about doing it right now,” he said. “But I thought, well, why not right now, with all the hoopla and all the craziness that’s been going on around this?”
