Donald Trump accuses President Joe Biden of “cognitive decline,” but what if – and hear us out – this is just a projection? What if the big guy, who is only three years younger than the guy he lost to in 2020, was the one whose brain is turning In porridge? After a gaffe-strewn speech he delivered on Fridayit certainly seems like a possibility.
While speaking at the DC Pray Vote Summit, Trump touched on many of the topics that triggered him. One of them concerns the US elections, which he says were riddled with cheating, but which others, including Republican officials he himself appointed, consider to be more secure than ever. At one point, he disparaged someone who said the nation should do away with voter IDs, prompting him to walk back a bizarre claim he’s been repeating for years.
“You have a voter card to buy a loaf of bread,” he said. He believed it so much that he repeated it: “You have an ID to buy a loaf of bread. »
This one dates back to at least 2018, when he boldly asserted in front of a rally: “you need a photo on a card, you need an ID.” A few months later, he said you needed ID to buy cereal. Didn’t anyone on Trump’s team tell him it was false? Or has he really reduced his group to all “yes” people.
Trump’s deranged bread line has inspired a lot of yuck.
Tell me you’ve never bought bread before without saying so.

I wish I had video of him at a register confused by the scanners.

I can confirm that I had to show my social security card for the rye I purchased today.

Trump’s speech on Friday was not good for him. In addition to revealing that he still thinks you need ID to buy rye, he also claimed that Biden would drag us into “World War II.” He also claimed that he was performing better than Barack Obama, a human being who is not running for president, having already served two terms. Trump made up for it on this point, but his attempt to save him only made things worse. Maybe today he won’t do as well on this basic cognitive test as he did three years ago and still doesn’t want to close its doors.
