Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus displayed weapons that appeared to belong to Hamas inside Al-Shifa Hospital in a recent video shared on X, according to The hill. In addition to the weapons, Conricus said a laptop used by Hamas to store intelligence was allegedly found, the outlet reported.

Video X purports to show the Israeli army storming the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza. “BREAKING: Invading Israeli army storms internal medicine and kidney building at Al-Shifa Medical Hospital in #Gaza, medical sources told Al Jazeera,” the post’s caption reads in part.

However, the claim is false. The video is not linked to the current conflict between Israel and Hamas and sample A shooting that occurred in 2013 at Rabaa Hospital in Cairo, Egypt.

“Heavy shots fired at the detainees in the Rabaa hospital on the day of the massacre,” says a translation from the title of the video it reads. The video was shared on YouTube by Egyptian news outlet Rassd News Network (RNN).

The Rabaa hospital shooting, also known as the Rabaa massacre, followed the ouster of Egypt’s first democratically elected president, Mohamed Morsi, according to Al Jazeera. The dismissal was orchestrated by the military leader and current president, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and sparked weeks of protests, the outlet said.
