When Bobbi Flyana’s boss said “I’m Michael Phelps, every brand I swim in”, it was just a “fake it till you make it” kind of situation. But even the world’s biggest skeptic should believe in the power of post-summer manifestation that light-footed freestylers experienced – and they still do.
Today, they announced their latest brand partnership with Pizza Hut, which includes a rapped jingle, a bunch of new TV commercials and, of course, even more sprinting in a riff on their viral videos promoting the hit “You wish.” The spots promote Pizza Hut’s Melts, a new snack on the menu consisting of two slices of Thin N’ Crispy crust, cheese and toppings (it’s basically a calzone).
Honestly, it’s a perfect match; Given that much of the dorm population practically lives on Pizza Hut and Flyana Boss met in college, it seems fair to say that they’ve inhaled their fair share of the stuff. Additionally, branded offerings are part of their overall brand, making each partnership feel integrated (pun intended!) and organic, as counterintuitive as that may seem. It is not yet clear to what extent the Melts will partner with Dunkin’ Donuts’ Frozen Pumpkin Spice Drinks, but we’re sure someone will try it. Good speed.
