dFormer German boxing world champion Alesia Graf has died. The Belarusian died at the age of 43, as confirmed by her former boxing team Universum to the sports information service. The background of the death is still unclear.

Graf arrived in Germany in 1999 and began boxing in 2001. In 2006 he won the GBU world bantamweight title, two years later he obtained German citizenship and won the WIBF world title of international importance.

Graf was signed to Hamburg's Universum boxing stable, run by promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl and manager Peter Hanraths, and was a teammate of the former world champion there. Regina Halmich.
