Franchise newcomer Phoebe Waller-Bridge joins the sequel as Helena Shaw, Indy’s goddaughter, along with Mads Mikkelsen as Jurgen Voller, a former Nazi now working for NASA.
Other newcomers include Antonio Banderas as Renaldo, a friend of Indy’s, Thomas Kretschmann as Colonel Weber, Toby Jones as Basil Shaw, and Boyd Holbrook as Klaber.
Phoebe plays Indiana Jones’s goddaughter, Helena Shaw, in the film, and the filmmakers describe the character as “elusive” and “charming.”
“She’s a mystery and a wonder,” Phoebe, who also stars opposite Antonio Banderas in the film Empire, said of her character.
“Making the film was everything I could have hoped for, with the opportunity to work on my own stunts and action sequences,” he added.
