Uli Hoeneß publicly called the dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann “not necessarily wise.” Now the 72-year-old wants to ensure that the next decision on the coaching issue is made in the FC Bayern like more. As Sport1 reports, Hoeneß will actively participate in the search.

Hoeneß and Eberl form the “Tegernsee Connection”

In this way, there will soon be a “Tegernsee connection” at FC Bayern. It is made up of Hoeneß and the new sporting director Max Eberl. The 50-year-old lives very close to Hoeneß on Lake Tegernsee. Eberl already described Hoeneß in an interview as his great role model and it was Hoeneß who spoke out in favor of signing Eberl in recent months.

Hoeneß was already active, but Flick avoided his veto

It can already be seen that Hoeneß wants to intervene more in active events, since, according to Sport1, Hansi Flick's return as coach apparently failed mainly due to the veto of the honorary president. If Xabi Alonso cannot be implemented as a solution on the coaching bench for next season, the Tegernsee leaders could take a different path.

Will you bring your nephew to FC Bayern?

According to the report, Sebastian Hoeneß's work at VfB is highly appreciated. As a youth coach and deputy coach of the German record champion, he knows the club very well. A decision in favor of Hoeneß would therefore promise a harmony that currently does not seem to exist with Thomas Tuchel. At the same time, Hoeneß could count on the support of his uncles, including Eberl.
