Donald Trump made a publication on Facebook this Friday after two years without any intervention on the social network. “I’m back!” wrote the former president of the United States of America.
The publication was accompanied by a 12-second video of the electoral victory speech in 2016. In this same recording, the American can be heard saying: “Sorry to have kept you waiting”. Given the content, it is believed that the intentions behind the message are to reinforce and intensify the presidential candidacy for a return to the White House.
It should be remembered that Trump was banned from that platform in January 2021, following the violent invasion of the Capitol by militants during the defeat against Joe Biden, current US president. The company META considered that the politician could be dangerous with certain publications and lead to more revolt and conflicts in the country. In addition to Facebook, Donald Trump was also temporarily kicked out of Twitter and Instagram.
On January 25, the owner of the company META, which owns Facebook and Instagram, announced that it would restore Trump’s access to its accounts, subject to “aggravated penalties” if it violates rules of good functioning as in the past.
