The districts of Castelo Branco and Guarda are this Saturday under yellow warning due to the forecast of snowfall above 1600 meters, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
According to the same source, the warning for snowfall, which has been in effect since 5:46 am, will remain until 12:00 pm this Saturday in those two districts.
The warning is for snowfall above 1600 meters and the possibility of an accumulation of 5 to 10 centimeters above 1800 meters, with the IPMA warning of possible disturbances in circulation, with blocked roads or roads, and possible ice formation.
