John Stamos embraced his inner Disney after dinner with Ryan Gosling – Deadline

Juan Stamos was a great Disney fan. But he felt there was something wrong with it, until he met ryan goslin at a dinner

Stamos spoke about the moment when Keke Palmer‘s Honey, this is Keke Palmer podcast. The hostess is a huge Disney fan, so she got the vibe from her.

The actor confessed that his doubts about Disney stemmed from concerns about his career.

“Who’s going to take me seriously with Mickey Mouse stuff? I have to distance myself from that.”

Enter Ryan Gosling. When they met at a group dinner, Gosling immediately brought up his passion for each other.

“He was like, ‘Oh, you’re a Disney fan, right?’” Stamos recalled. “I say yes. He says: ‘I’m obsessed. I’m a Disney adult, I go alone and I wear headphones. I go on walks. I have a mixtape.’”

A light went on for Stamos.

“I go, ‘Yeah, me too. I’m a Disney guy too,’” she said. “So that turned the corner for me.”

Palmer recalled how Disney reminds her of fond memories of her childhood.

Stamos agreed, saying walking through the gates of Disneyland is like “the great escape.”

“I had a nice and happy childhood, and I’m sure you did too, so I wasn’t running from anything,” he added. “But I think it really defined who I am as an artist, as a human being I think, because he was so full of love and optimism, happiness. You go through the turnstile and I think that’s what Mr. Disney wanted you to feel, but everything else just disappears.”
