After the The first free practice session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix was canceled due to a water valve manhole cover. On the course of the track colliding with Carlos Sainz’s car, several drivers praised the track after participating in the second free practice session.
Drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell shared positive reviews about the first route of the Las Vegas Grand Prix track that runs along the city’s iconic strip.
Hamilton, who posted the ninth fastest time, enjoyed his time despite the unexpected delay in road repairs.
“It’s incredibly fast and a lot of fun; I had a lot of fun today,” Hamilton said. Sky Sports F1.

The distinguished 38-year-old British driver was happy because the road could be fixed quickly, allowing for a second training session.
“I am very happy to have been able to race again. “They did a great job to sort it out and it was an interesting session,” Hamilton added.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc recorded the best time of 1:35.265 during the second practice session.

Meanwhile, Russell, who placed 12th overall, also praised the speed of the Las Vegas route.
“It’s a very fast circuit, probably the highest top speeds of the year, and obviously racing at night is pretty spectacular,” Russell said. “I think it will be an interesting weekend of racing.”
Racing fans will be watching on Friday night when drivers will compete in final practice, with qualifying scheduled for shortly after.
The 50-lap race, which will take place Saturday night at 10 p.m. PT, is expected to attract more than 100,000 racing fans.
