Last week, when the Wu-Tang Clan showed up to support the Colorado Buffaloes, netizens were crowned Deion Sanders the coolest coach in college sports. But that was just the beginning for Coach Prime. On Saturday September 16, Sanders took it up a notch by inviting the actor Dwayne The Rock Johnsonfootballer Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and rap superstar Lil Wayne will join the team as they take on rivals Colorado State.
Lil Wayne led the Buffs onto the field with a surprise rendition of his song “Ride for My N****s (Sky is the Limit),” from his classic mixtape, Da Drought 3. In a video shared on the team’s official X feed (formerly Twitter), Wayne happily jumps onto the field as the crowd shares in the excitement of the moment.
Viewers at home chimed in, praising Coach Sander’s efforts to bring attention to his team through his industry connections. “Buffaloes make everything stand out,” one user wrote.

Another kept their response short, writing: “Absolutely crazy!!!! »
Earlier in the day, Lil Wayne treated those in attendance at the pre-show to a special performance in the stadium parking lot. As a thank you, Coach Sanders presented Wayne with a personalized Colorado Buffaloes jersey with his Tunechi nickname on the back. Lil Wayne wore the same jersey when exiting the tunnel.
