Markwayne Mullin Used To Put Fingers In People”s Nostrils

The House GOP has been a source of chaos lately, but recently their Republican friends in the Senate told them to hold their beer. Last week, a wacky new star emerged. His name is Markwayne Mullin. That’s his real name. It is also, as his biography claims, an undefeated MMA fighter. He is so strong that on Tuesday he threatened to beat up a Teamsters boss, during a hearing, no less. (He would have gotten away with it too without Bernie Sanders.) Now, of course, we learn all kinds of weird things about this guy – including from the big guy himself.

By Meditformer Michigan lawmaker David Trott said Policy that in 2015, Mullin, then a fellow Representative, took photos of himself sticking his fingers into sleeping members of Congress on a flight to Israel. Trott’s wife, Kathleen, aka “Kappy”, was particularly furious about the incident:

“We were wearing the clothes we had been wearing for about 24 hours,” says Kappy. “We get on this bus, and it’s a couple of hours’ ride and people were leaning on their spouse’s shoulder and falling asleep. And this idiot would start going up and down the bus with his camera and whoever fell asleep, he would stick his finger up his nose and take a picture.

“I said [to myself, ‘If] this idiot comes up to me when I’m falling asleep, I’m going to hit him,'” Kappy told us.

Certainly, pulling weird, frenzied pranks is nothing like challenging a Teamster at a congressional hearing. But today’s GOP knows how to pick them.
