Nikki Haley said Friday that she would sign a six-week abortion ban in South Carolina if she were still governor, according to The Washington Post.

“I’ll sign anything where we can get 60 votes from the Senate, but don’t make the American people think you’re going to force something on them when we don’t even have the votes in the Senate,” Haley said.

Ammar Moussa, rapid response director for President Joe Biden’s campaign, came after Haley, saying that the former ambassador to the United Nations “was not moderate” on the issue.

Haley was too criticized by fellow gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis of Florida, who said Haley’s comment about “her truth” during the debate did not go over well with voters during a stop in Iowa.

“No, it is not your truth or this person’s truth. That’s the truth,” DeSantis said. “And we have to base it on the truth and not get involved in saying that each has his own.”
