‘Our leader is a stupid person’: Trump mocks Biden’s meeting with Xi Jinping, says ‘Now we take the gloves off’

Former President Donald Trump criticized Joe Biden’s recent meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Saturday at a rally in Iowa, stating that “our leader is a stupid person.”

Trump was seen on stage in Fort Dodge, Iowa, for a rally just 58 days before the anticipated Iowa caucuses. As he spoke, the former president called out “crooked” Biden and claimed he seemed to have “absolutely no idea where he was” during a recent meeting with Xi in San Francisco. The 45th president described President Xi and noted that the press “doesn’t like it” when he says “good things” about the Chinese official. He also imitated Biden by being lost on stage while the audience cheered him on.

““Corrupt Joe Biden was in San Francisco for a summit with China and it seemed like he had no idea where he was, what was going on, what the hell he was supposed to do,” Trump said. “He came up with a man who looks like a piece of granite, right?”

“He is strong, like granite… I know him very well, President Xi of China… they are very intelligent people. But they are dealing with very stupid people. “Our leader is a stupid person…This is the guy we have to keep us out of a nuclear war.”

Currently, Biden has been falling in the hypothetical general election polls between him and Trump, losing six important swing states he once held in 2020 to the former president, according to a Nov. 10 Morning Consult. survey.

Trump continued to compare his four accusations to Alphonse Capone, emphasizing the fact that he has been accused more times than the famous gangster who would “kill you right away.” Since his accusations, Trump claimed that they had already “taken the gloves off” and called Biden “the worst president we’ve ever had.” (RELATED: ‘It’s Not Just Republicans’: Fox Guest Discusses ‘Big Issues’ Biden Faces on All Fronts Ahead of 2024 Election)

“And, by the way, I have been accused more times than Alphonse Capone. He is the cruelest of all gangsters… He was accused once, and I was accused four times. However, once I was first accused, I said he had already taken the gloves off,” Trump claimed. “Because out of respect for the position of presidency – very important – I never hit him so hard. But now I say it. He is the most incompetent president we have ever had.”

In addition to a hypothetical general election, Trump has dominated Republican primary polls for the nomination between him and his six fellow candidates. He currently has a strong lead heading into the Iowa primary, standing at an estimated 44.9 percent as of Nov. 16, according to data from fivethirtyeight.
