Saints the wide receiver Miguel Tomas and panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown They were involved in a heated postgame altercation in the Bank of America Stadium tunnel Monday night.

After New Orleans earned a road victory, a video was shared on social media in which Thomas could be seen celebrating in the tunnel on the way to the locker room. He seemed to be saying something as he looked back in the direction where Brown finally came from, as he entered the tunnel behind him.

The pair exchanged verbal barbs before Brown could be seen attacking Thomas. A Carolina staff member was able to restrain Brown, and after a few tense moments, the defensive tackle began to walk away.

Shortly after the images began circulating on social media, Thomas took to X, formerly Twitter, and appeared to respond to the video. From his personal account, Thomas made three posts, one of which read, “They tried to set me up,” along with three laughing and crying emojis.

He also wrote: “They were playing good old snoop dogg after I was just trying to dance,” again using three crying and laughing emojis.

In Monday night’s win, Thomas recorded seven receptions for 55 yards. He has yet to score a touchdown in his first two games of the season, although he has accumulated 12 receptions.

The Panthers and Saints will meet again later this season. The NFC South rivals are scheduled for a showdown in New Orleans in Week 14 on December 10.
