An employee of the “Phantasialand” amusement park died on Monday. The police are now investigating. A police spokesperson told FAZ that it must have been an accident on the roller coasters

IAn employee died during maintenance work at Phantasialand in Brühl. The exact course of Monday's Taron roller coaster accident is still unclear, said a spokesman for the Rhein-Erft district police.

According to the police, everything is now talking about the accident. The incident reportedly took place around 3pm on Monday afternoon. The employee of the amusement park allegedly did factory and repair work on the roller coaster, said a police spokesperson.

The victim was 43 years old. Kölni Ekspress was the first to report. The theme park is still on winter break, which is expected to end on Maundy Thursday, March 28. Located in Brühl near Cologne, Phantasialand is one of Europe's largest theme parks.
