prinz Harry spoke about his illness for the first time in a TV interview after visiting London to see his father, King Charles III. On ABC's “Good Morning America” Saturday, she also spoke with host Will Reeve about her family in California. The occasion was Harry and his wife Meghan's visit to Whistler, Canada, where his 'Invictus Games' winter games will be held for the first time next year.
The thirty-nine-year-old said he was grateful to be able to see his father after his cancer diagnosis. But how things are with him is “between him and me.” When asked if the disease could reunite the family that Meghan and Harry left for America four years ago, the second answered in the affirmative. It can certainly have a unifying effect. “I love my family,” Harry said. And he will definitely travel to the kingdom often in the future.
But his real family lives in California. Asked what he was like as a father, the prince said it was “strictly confidential”. He and Meghan laughed a lot together, and their children, four-year-old Archie and two-year-old Lilibet, also had a great sense of humor.
Will Harry soon become an American?
Reeve then asked the prince if he could imagine becoming an American. He already had it in mind, but American citizenship is less of a concern to him now than the other projects, Harry says.
He and his wife of three years, Meghan, stepped down from the front row of the royal family in 2020 as they also sought financial independence. A little later they left the kingdom in a dispute. Nevertheless, Harry traveled to London to visit his father almost two weeks ago after learning of his illness.
Like last Sunday, Charles, who is suffering from cancer, appeared in public again on his way to Sandringham Church in East England next to his wife Camilla. Charles does not currently attend any public events, although he alternates between his country estate in Sandrigham and London. The British newspaper “Times” wrote over the weekend that Harry is willing to perform the duties of the royal family again for a while. However, no source was mentioned for this.
