Protesters block streets in Paris against pension reform – World

Unions are organizing street blockades in Paris this morning, after a night of spontaneous demonstrations against the reform of the pension system in France, approved on Thursday without a vote by the National Assembly.

Hundreds of people with banners and emblems of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) occupied the Paris ring road next to Porta de Glignancourt, from 07:00 am (06:00 am in Lisbon), causing traffic jams.

“This should not be done. There are democratic instruments of claim”, replied the French Minister of the Interior, in which he insisted that the authorities allowed the demonstrations, without incident, during the entire movement against the pension reform.
