After the British Parliament approved a controversial plan to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda, low-cost airline Ryanair agreed to help implement it.
“If it was winter time and we had free planes available and the government was looking for additional deportation flights, we would be happy to make an offer,” Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary told Bloomberg.
Asylum seekers should be deported to Rwanda regardless of their origin
Just a few months ago, the High Court in London declared illegal British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's plan to deport people to Rwanda without valid documents, regardless of their origin and without examining their asylum application.
The new law should revoke this sentence, reports “ntv”. This should be possible, among other things, by classifying Rwanda as a safe third country.
