Netanyahu's reaction to the American vote in the UN Security Council has left Washington shaking its head. At the same time, people are in the process of downplaying the New York decision.

By abstaining, Washington made it possible for a resolution to be passed that, among other things, called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the rest of the fasting month of Ramadan.
