Snoop Dogg Is “Giving Up Smoke,’ Breaking Stoners’ Hearts

Snoop Dogg, who is arguably hip-hop the most famous stoner (no offense to Method Man, Redman or Wiz Khalifa), apparently decided to quit smoking weed.

Or at least that’s what baffled, baffled, and downright confused fans determined he meant when he posted on his social media: “After much thought and conversation with my family, I have decided to stop smoking. Please respect my privacy at this time.

Given the random and sometimes chaotic nature of Snoop’s activities presence on social networks, some confusion or skepticism would be justified. After all, Snoop had already changed his name to “Snoop Lion” and made a reggae album, and is known for trolling his fans, offering midnight musings, and generally goofing off on Instagram and Twitter. Without forgetting that this is not the first time that he “stop” smoking weedand we all know how long that lasted.

Its announcement could also simply be configured for deployment; he was teaser an album called Missionary – a sequel to his star debut Doggystyle – for a while. Hell, he could just publicly announce his plea for edible products. But given his request for confidentiality, it’s probably best to keep speculation to a minimum and let him divulge the details in his own time — and hope he’s in good health, physical or mental.
