‘Stephen Colbert’ Musical Guests This Week: The National

The holiday season is officially underway, with Mariah Carey “All I want for Christmas is you» re-entering the music charts. However, before those who celebrate the holiday huddle under their tree, they must first have Thanksgiving. As families squeeze into cramped quarters before their holiday meal, finding something to watch on television is a major concern.

This is where the evening programming, such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbertcomes in. Last week, best new artist Grammy Awards candidate Gracie Abrams delivered a sweet rendition of her song, “I know it won’t work.” So who will appear this week?

Monday November 20

This evening, The National will start the week off well. This is also the only musical appearance confirmed this week. But given that the band released two albums this year (Laugh track And The first two pages of Frankenstein), there’s nothing they can’t handle. In addition to The National’s appearance, former Late at night host David Letterman will sit down for an interview.

Tuesday November 21

Instead of a musical guest, The late show will present a culinary demonstration by famous restaurateur José Andrés. Maestro star Bradley Cooper will be the interviewee.

Wednesday November 22

Without a musical guest, The late show will fill the episode with two great guests. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes actor Peter Dinklage will chat with host Stephen Colbert. Comedian and writer Tig Notaro will also appear.

Thursday November 23

As things stand, the series will not air a new episode. This appears to be due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Friday November 24

Again, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, no new episodes are scheduled to air on that day.
