Takeoff’s alleged killer allegedly charged with murder

Take offthe alleged murderer, Patrick Xavier Clarkhas been formally charged with murder, according to a report from TMZ.

Takeoff, who was a member of the Atlanta rap group Migos, was shot and killed last November during an altercation outside a Houston bowling alley. Clark was arrested the following December by the Houston Police Department, who charged him with firing the fatal shootings.

Today (May 25), Clark was indicted by a Texas grand jury. According TMZSince then, Clark has asked a judge for $5,000 so he can hire a private investigator to prepare a defense. She reportedly pointed out that she can’t hire an IP on his behalf.

Following the indictment, Clark’s attorney, Carl Moore, shared a statement with TMZ.

“Today’s grand jury action is not unexpected,” Moore said. “We would ask people to remember that getting an indictment requires meeting a very, very minimal standard of proof. When we walk into a courtroom and find ourselves before a jury, where we can present our evidence and cross-examine the state’s witnesses, where the standard of proof is fault beyond a reasonable doubt, we expect the jury to return. with a verdict of not guilty.”
