Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Relationship: Rolling Sonte Theories

Swift does not see marriage as the greatest achievement of his life; she’s more interested in world domination through a chart-topping, record-breaking hit. What feels good about her relationship with Kelce is the feeling that he’s along for the crazy ride and everything it entails. Basically, she’s not afraid of the spotlight because he’s already used to it as one of the best players in the NFL. Does it feel like “End Game” material? I care less about that question than the one Swift asked. folklore “Peace” Track: “Would it be enough if I could never give you peace?” In this new relationship, he finally feels that the love she gives will be. —mg

I think he Swifties like Travis Kelce because he is such a significant departure from all of his previous partners, which were primarily other artists and actors. Even if Kelce and Swift are really just famous people whose careers have been made performing and playing for fans, I think the fact that he is an athlete rather than another musician contributes to this perception that the relationship is more genuine ( and less toxic), since this is someone outside of the artist world that Swift finds herself in. Additionally, he is very conventionally attractive and has a fun, non-problematic, golden retriever-like aura that makes him very likable. —EM

You know it scene in every teen rom-com where the cheerleader falls in love with the jock and her glasses slip off, and suddenly she’s obviously beautiful and always has been, and that catches his attention, and then she falls even more in love with the guy because She finds out that he’s not just a fool and maybe he’s read Pride and prejudice (or at least Pride and prejudice and zombies, which is still something) and everyone is happy because they are both sweets who found love despite coming from seemingly opposite worlds. You know that song about the girl who wants the guy, but she apparently doesn’t feel like her type since he’s supposed to go for girls in short skirts when she wears t-shirts, etc.? That’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, except it looks like a happy ending so far. They are America’s homecoming king and queen and that’s why everyone is happy for them. May they last long (at least until prom). —KG

My armchair psychoanalysis? ? Their synergistic relationship is bringing regular couples closer together. Suddenly, one partner deeply immersed in Swiftie lore and another with an NFL RedZone subscription are mutually involved in a celebrity romance that appears to be propelling both to the top of their respective games. Even better, it’s not just the cliché of a football star dating an attractive cheerleader. It’s true that Travis has triumphed on the field when Taylor supports him in the box, but we’ve also seen how he he introduces himself to her and listens to him marvel at her talent as a performer. Having that kind of unconditional support modeled by American icons on a national stage gives us a warm, fuzzy feeling that (ideally) seeps into our own lives and domestic habits. If you can make someone as happy as these two apparently make each other, it would be an accomplishment comparable to selling out a stadium tour or winning the Super Bowl. —mk

Have you ever wondered why? Don’t you see Trav in a teal shirt? This is because, unlike Joe Alwyn, he never worked in a yogurt shop to earn a little money. He didn’t have to listen to “Bad Blood” in a taxi either, as he can witness it any night of the Eras tour. There’s no invisible thread to these guys: they’re the opposite of invisible, and that’s why the internet is obsessed with them. We just hope Taylor still sends gifts to those babies. — AM

I think they are We’ll be engaged in six months. They seem like a good couple and are in the same phase of life where they achieved their career goals and got the dating stuff out of their systems. Furthermore, Kelce seems okay with her extraordinary level of fame, and even proud of everything she has accomplished, unlike some of her exes who seemed almost embarrassed by it.
