Taylor Swift Penned Letter Following A Fan”s Death In Brazil

When Taylor Swift rolled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilwith Sabrina Charpentier For The era tour, the city was ready for a multi-day celebration. Unfortunately, tragedy struck the area’s Swifties. According to TMZon Friday, November 17, a devoted Swift fan died just before the scheduled concert.

Before “Empty spaceThe singer could go on stage, learned the news that her fan, named Ana Clara Benevides Machado, had died. After learning of the passing, Swift took to her official Instagram page to pen a touching letter via her Stories remembering the supporter.

I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it is with a broken heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight, before the show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There is very little information I have other than the fact that she was incredibly beautiful and so are you.

I’m not going to be able to talk about it from the stage because I feel overwhelmed with grief whenever I try to talk about it. I want to say now that I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to his family and friends. This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to do this tour in Brazil.

Machado’s cause of death has not been released. Ticket holders believe the heatwave that hit the region may have contributed to the tragedy. During the show, Swift was recorded handing out bottles of water to audience members.
