IThe arrest warrant for the rapper is a welcome guest at Hassom, a Turkish restaurant in the center of Darmstadt. Owner Halil Köse said Thursday afternoon: “He comes regularly and often invites strangers who don't have money.” He did the same last Tuesday. “He ate here a little later in the afternoon and then took an 80-euro bill from six people sitting outside.” What happened next is now the subject of a police investigation. What is certain is that on Tuesday around 4:20 p.m., at the end of the street where the Turkish restaurant is located, the driver of a white Audi Q8 drove into the Turkish pastry shop almost without braking.

Video footage of the incident circulating online shows that the car narrowly missed two pedestrians. According to the police, however, one person was injured: a 23-year-old customer of a pastry shop was injured in the collision and taken to the hospital.

And the driver? Fleeed from the scene of the accident. This escape can also be watched on the internet video: First, you can see how at least one man gets out of another car stopped on the opposite street and runs towards the emergency car. Then the driver of that car gets out, limps or stumbles with the other man towards the other car, then both drive away.

A rumor quickly spread in the rap media that the driver was a rapper from Offenbach. And the man who gets out of the car in the video actually looks thirty-eight years old. On Thursday, the “Bild” newspaper also reported, citing police sources, that the fleeing driver had an arrest warrant. When asked, the police only said that the investigation is ongoing. The car was confiscated. The damage to the business and the accident vehicle will probably amount to several tens of thousands of euros. Investigators have identified traces of DNA in the car and in the airbags.

The accident was witnessed by an employee of a store located in the immediate vicinity of the demolished store. He said on Thursday: “The pedestrians really had guardian angels, it was very close.” According to his memory, only the driver sat in the accident car, “it was the big and durable one.” The arrest warrant is almost two meters high. The employee also watched as two other men got out of the opposite sports car after the crash, picked up the emergency driver and then drove off with him. The employee only knew about the rapper's arrest warrant on Tuesday, but after looking at the photos: “It could turn out well.” And after the accident, many young people gathered on the street and recognized him immediately. “It was the rapper, they said.”

For years, the arrest warrant has repeatedly attracted attention because he has lost control of himself due to the consumption of laughing gas. In an interview, he once said that he consumed 50 bottles a day for three months and had to cancel a tour because of it. A regular guest of the Hassom Turkish restaurant saw an arrest warrant in front of the store last October: “He had stuffed two handkerchiefs up his nose and was waving around a pile of banknotes.” However, restaurant owner Halil Köse refutes the reports that the rapper was bloodied in a kebab shop on Tuesday before the accident. “It's nonsense, he was good and clear.” The rapper has not yet commented on the incident.
