Weil am Dortmunder Hauptbahnhof kein Schließfach mehr frei war, hat ein 22-Jähriger seinen Rucksack kurzerhand in ein Drogeriemarkt-Regal gelegt. Damit löste der Reisende aus Bayern ausgerechnet vor dem EM-Spiel Türkei-Portugal eine Teilsperrung des Bahnhofs aus.
Ein Mitarbeiter des Drogeriemarkts hatte die Bundespolizei am Samstagnachmittag über den herrenlosen Gegenstand informiert, wie diese am Abend mitteilte. Die Einsatzkräfte nahmen das Äußere des Fundstücks in Augenschein – und fanden kein Namensschild oder sonstige Hinweise auf den Eigentümer.
„Da das Gepäckstück auch keineswegs eingesehen und als unbedenklich eingestuft werden konnte, wurden die Entschärfer der Bundespolizei angefordert“, hieß es weiter. Der Vorplatz des Hauptbahnhofs sowie die Haupthalle wurden gesperrt, ebenso die Gleise 1 bis 7.

Officers were then able to identify the suspected owner by analyzing the video. He was stationed at the Signal Iduna Park stop near the stadium. The 22-year-old man said he couldn't find a free locker at the main train station and therefore hid the backpack on a shelf.
According to the information, the young man from Bavaria now has to wait for the damage claims of the railway companies and the charge notice of the federal police. When asked, the Federal Police could not say whether he originally wanted to watch the football at the EC stadium that night and missed it because of his carelessness.
