Frauke Ludowig, the well-known presenter of the TV station RTL, had to take an unexpected break while presenting the live show “The Passion”. A technical problem with the sound quality forced them to cancel.
The modern interpretation of the story of Jesus' passion “Passion” was broadcast on RTL for the second time and took place against the background of the sights of Kassel. The event went smoothly for the most part, until an unexpected audio glitch occurred at the end.
Live from “The Passion”: “I don't have sound? Wait a minute!”
After Ben Blümel's final vocal interpretation, Frauke Ludowig was chatting with the performers at the live event when he suddenly had to stop moderating. Viewers could hear him clearly when he introduced singer Nadja Benaissa, but then the sound died down.
“I have no sound? Wait a minute!” – with these words, Ludowig tried to save the situation and fiddled with his microphone, but without success, he finally sought the help of the actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, who played Judas in the play.
However, it turned out that there was actually no sound loss. Rather, the overall size of the center of Kassel had to be reduced. “It's on. “I think we need to be a little quieter here now,” Frauke finally explained to Ludowig.
On Wednesday night, “The Passion” celebrated its return on RTL as a new interpretation of the death and resurrection of Jesus – with new celebrities, new songs and new locations. The internet celebrated the new version – but in a more ironic way. Passion became a hit on Twitter: “Now I'm giving myself pain.”
