At the “Perfect Dinner” in Schwerin, the hostess's daughter has a special heart that she wants to quickly share on camera…

“It either works or it doesn't,” Petra does her best in “The Perfect Dinner.” “My daughter signed me up, but I didn't think it was that funny at first.” But Petra now enjoys the Schwerin group.

The former nurse lives with her mother Marianne (88) and daughter Püppi (41) in a shared apartment in Gägelow. The latter did not register his mother without ulterior motives: “Petra needs a man.” And she needs a new father: “Mother has been alone for so long and now we have attention and now I hope that someone will say to themselves: “Oh Peti, I would like to get to know you.”

Basic requirements: “He mustn't be too fat, so he can't eat anything from us. He must be good at crafts and enjoy being in nature.” Püppi started working with the dome as a child, but Petra always politely refused: “They always wanted to marry me right away . And I always saw red.” Now he prefers to focus on his family's favorite dishes, as his motto is “Petra's Family Culinary Delights.” There are:

Appetizer: thyme baguette with fig and peach balsamic

Main course: Chopped cabbage with porridge and roulade

Dessert: Hot chocolate meets delicate blackberry

“Ugh, I wouldn't have guessed that,” says Diana (46), surprised by the excellent appetizer. However, Kristoph (36) expects a hearty home-cooked meal in the main course: “Just for me.” Sandra (29) is surprised by the dessert: «Spicy? He's not really that hot.”

Starter “just Petra's heart was in it”

“Two souls have found each other in Utes and Petra,” Diana comments on the particularly warm relationship between the two. Because after just four days, they already feel like sisters. “I think it's good,” Ute (66) rejoices at the unexpected connection. If things don't work out with her husband, at least Petra has a new sister.

Presto, Petra serves a home-baked thyme baguette with figs and peaches. “You sure did a great job,” Kristoph says of the edible ornamental flowers. “A great team too.” Diana praises: “I have never eaten a peach on bread either. Good idea!” Her conclusion about the appetizer: “It just had Petra's heart in it.” In Sandra's opinion, the idea is also “absolutely clever and very good”, but unfortunately the bread is too dry.

Perfect dinner: “The best roulade I've ever had”

“It was my father's favorite meal,” explains Petra's choice to prepare roulade, red cabbage and mashed potatoes for “dinner”. Family stories touch Diana very much: “You could feel how much Petra loved her father and misses him.” Petra mixing parsley root into the porridge is also a big hit: “Mmm, great idea.” Sandra grins, “It really brings back childhood memories.” Kristoph gushed, “This is the best roulade I've ever eaten.”

This is followed by a spicy chocolate mousse with ginger, blackberry ice cream, fruit mousse and granola. “Very mild, spiciness,” Diana says, tasting just a hint of ginger. Sandra, who is half Thai, laughs: «The spiciness could have been spicier for me, of course.» But: “Very tasty!” Petra gets 33 points and initially third place for her hearty cuisine.
