Pat McAfee kicked off Smackdown live from Denver, just down the street where he broke a a little news at the beginning of the afternoon from Boulder, Colorado.

It didn’t take long for McAfee to be interrupted by Austin Theory, who got into the ring and slammed the ESPN personality. Theory talked about Smackdown as Austin Theory Live and called it his show.

McAfee said Smackdown was the people’s show and asked him if he knew what that meant before The Rock’s music came out. Rock came face to face with Theory, where Theory said he was better than the other Austin and announced that he was so great that he would be the whole of Mount Rushmore wrestling.

Rock then started singing “You’re an A-hole” before Theory attacked him. Rock then hit a spinebuster and a People’s Elbow. He then ordered McAfee to hit one of his own, which he did before Rock picked up one of Theory’s shoes and threw it to the crowd.

Rock last competed in an impromptu match alongside John Cena at WrestleMania 32 against Eric Rowan and Luke Harper. According to The Rock, he might want one more, with a rumored showdown with undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the table for WrestleMania 40.
