With two out and no runners on base, Rangers center fielder Leody Taveras sent a James Kapriellian offering to the bottom of the left field line. The ball carried Peterson into foul territory and drove the third baseman into Oakland’s bullpen area.
While in a full sprint, Peterson caught an over-the-shoulder basket as he went over the warm-up mound and landed on the bullpen wall.
