Ultramarathon means running more than one Marathon – that is, more than 42,195 kilometres, in one go, without a break for days. And this statement alone provokes a variety of reactions. Some people find something like this incredibly transcendental and crazy. Others believe that you have to be a professional athlete to run that far. And others are so fascinated that they sign up for one of the numerous ultramarathons and start training for courses of 70, 100 or even 160 kilometres.
