bIn the Masters everything remains the same. This makes it increasingly difficult for LIV pros to qualify for the first golf major of the year. Fred Ridley, the president of the Augusta National Golf Club announced in its annual press conference that there will be no new qualification criteria for the invitational tournament of its exclusive club for the year 2025.

For pros who aren't automatically invited thanks to a green jacket victory at Augusta or success in one of the other three majors in the past five years, previous doors remain open: a victory in a PGA Tour tournament, a place in the top 30 of the annual FedEx Cup ranking or in the top 50 of the world ranking at the end of the previous year and two weeks before the start of the Masters. This year, these strict conditions meant that among the 89 participants (including five amateurs) only 13 professionals were excluded from the PGA Tour for deserters.
