Travis, Jason Kelce Do Philly Twist On “Fairytale Of New York’

Last year, Philadelphia Eagles Offensive lineman Jason Kelce was part of a project to raise money for charity over the holidays alongside two of his teammates. Kelce, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata teamed up to record the album A Special Christmas in Philadelphiawhich was both an incredibly fun album and also a really good way to remind everyone that Mailata has a legitimately incredible voice.

Well the big guys are back this year, with their next album which will be released in early December. We already have some glimpses of what they have in store for us… here is Mailata knocking “All I Want for Christmas Is You” out of the park — and on Wednesday, we learned that Jason isn’t the only Kelce brother showing off his pipe this holiday season, as winger closer to the Kansas City Chiefs and noticed guy who attends concerts Travis Kelce teamed up with his brother to sing “Fairytale of Philadelphia,” a Philly-inspired version of the Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York.”

As part of the track’s rollout, we got a behind-the-scenes look at how it all came together — basically, someone pitched the idea to Jason and he called Travis, who was into the idea.

If being great podcasters doesn’t work out for the Kelce brothers, they might have a future in music. But before that, they have some business to take care of on the field, as Jason and the Eagles travel to Kansas City to take on Travis and the Chiefs on Monday Night Football this week.
