[WATCH] “SNL’ Weekend Update Tackled George Santos’ Spending

Last week wasn’t great for George Santos. THE creatively dishonest The GOP representative received a damning report of the House Ethics Committee, which revealed that he spent his campaign money on big things, such as Botox and OnlyFans subscriptions. After the report was made public, he said he would not run again. Is this the end of the guy who lied about his mother’s death in 9/11, what she didn’t do? Probably not. But on SNLIn the weekend update, he took a victory lap of sorts.

Bowen Yang, who guest starred earlier in the episode one of the recently extinct Chinese pandas, swayed by the show to once again play a provocative Santos. He didn’t seem very concerned about his latest scandal, which for anyone else would end his career. This mystified co-host Colin Jost.

“George, it’s serious. They are demanding your expulsion, Jost told him.

“Well, girl, kick me out!” Yang’s Santos responded.

When asked about watching OnlyFans with his donors’ money, he of course tried to spin it. “Isn’t Congress a bit like OnlyFans anyway?” People pay you to do nasty things during a sad, bad livestream? he said.

Jost also asked him about wasting campaign money on high-end stores like Ferragamo. When asked what he bought there, Santos pointed to the red sweater he was wearing.

“You went to Ferragamo and that’s what you chose?” Jost retorted.

“Okay, you’re an asshole,” Santos replied of Yang.

“That was pretty mean of me, I’m sorry,” Jost said.
